Lorraine's interests and influences are wide, they range from Henry Moore, Umberto Boccioni, Edvard Munch, Mark Rothko, Van Gogh and Alexander Archipenko, to the natural way of the world that is the force that drives Lorraine, her artworks are about seeing the image and feeling the emotion.

As with the influences her artworks incorporate differing media including sculpture, photography and textural art through to watercolour, charcoal and pastels, all of which she enjoys working with however she is currently working on a series of abstract watercolours.

The latest series of paintings has encompassed many months of work and has a distinct vision. As an artist Lorraine feels that art should always reflect her state of mind, she says "The process of art for me is not reasoned it is felt". This current series is a continuing investigation in the mixing of colour. About this latest series Lorraine feels there reaches a point in the painting where the two colours merge becoming inseparable and dependant on each other, this is her climax when she ceases to exist and the colours are mighty, and her quest for visual emotion is fully awoken in paint.

Having spent the day with with Lorraine and in getting to know her I find her childlike enthusiasm and determined attitude for life more than a little intriguing, her artworks are unique and emotional, she is undoubtedly an immensely talented artist and I expect to see a lot more of of her in the future.
